Basics
Replay is a great way to capture and re-watch memorable gameplay moments.
Replay mode records the simulation, and generates a file with the .rpl extension that the game can read to play back the simulation with the game engine.
These are not video files!
If you wish to record video clips, please use a screen recording software (e.g.

Recording
The default recording controls are:
Action
Start/Stop Recording
Comments
Stopping a recording will automatically save it
Comments
Stops and does not save the recording
The smoothness of the replay depends on the framerate when it was recorded. Higher framerates will result in smoother and less jittery recordings.
You can record a replay in slowmotion to balance out performance issues.
Playback
You can load and rewatch your replays from the Replay menu found in the Main Menu → Replays:

The default playback controls are:

Long seek backward
To quit a playback, open the Replay menu and click the Stop icon on the currently active replay.
Bindings can be fully customized under from the Controls → Bindings menu, under the Replay category.
A recording might not play correctly anymore if the vehicle(s) received changes of any kind between the time the recording was made, and when it is played back (e.g. mod for that vehicle being installed/removed, game updates, etc..)
Replay recordings may not be compatible between different game versions!
