Not to sound too much like a broken record, but gaming PC prices are steadily climbing thanks to the global memory shortage. For a while, RX 9070 XT PCs were somewhat of a bastion against that decline, but this week while checking out different retailers I’ve noticed even those AMD PCs have started to climb.

What does that mean for those looking for a gaming PC? Well, the budget segment (around $1,000) isn’t looking great, and while pushing above $2,500 can net you a great high-end rig, not everyone has that kind of money. In between the two—the mid-range segment—is looking pretty poor, too, but there are still some rigs just about holding on against the storm.
