Modding Contest Results – BeamNG.drive

Get ready for an adventure, as today is finally the day to reveal the winners of the Gambler 500 Modding Contest!

With this contest, we really wanted to blend the fearless, dirt-loving spirit of Gambler events with the infinite possibilities of modding. By enlisting the invaluable support of the Automation and Modding For Dummies teams, we were able to provide an equal playing field that encouraged creativity across all expertise levels, and the response blew us away! To say that the sheer number and quality of the submissions from both groups were astonishing would be an understatement.

This was not an easy challenge for the judges, but at last we are ready to unveil the winners!

First Place

Theo’s Covet Gambler Pickup  1st place

In First place, winning $300, an exclusive set of BeamNG x Gambler 500 posters, and game keys (3x BeamNG, 3x Automation + DLC), we have

Theo’s Covet Gambler Pickup, by Theo.

This mod just smells like Gambler from top to bottom – it’s a Covet that got hacked and repurposed to make it more practical and ‘off-road worthy’, with a bunch of small details added like bumper stickers, hood cutouts, and a bent muffler (among other things). Theo also did great work with the jbeam quality and textures – the tarp was especially cool.

Second Place

Gambler523  2nd place

In Second place, we have 23Terrabytes’

Gambler523; a fantastic map with a really interesting backstory and a ton of Gambler missions.

Gambler 523 is a decently sized map with a well-thought-out theme, some interesting landscapes, and very good road and trail layout. 23Terrabytes will be taking home $200, an exclusive set of BeamNG x Gambler 500 posters, and game keys (2x BeamNG, 2x Automation + DLC).

Third Place

LeGran 8×8 “The Behemoth”  3rd place

Third place, winning an $100, an exclusive set of BeamNG x Gambler 500 posters, and game keys (1x BeamNG, 1x Automation + DLC) goes to Awesomecarl Plays’

LeGran 8×8 “The Behemoth”.

This heavily modified Bruckell LeGran has had its roof removed and its rear extended. The functioning toilet was a nice touch, but the Behemoth isn’t just a joke car – this mod sports some solid jbeam work and textures as well.

Automation Winner

Alfieri-Sjöorm Vetterli-9009  Automation

And last, but by no means least, Gravit_y wins Best Entry in the Automation category, and will be receiving $100, an exclusive set of BeamNG x Gambler 500 posters, and game keys (3x BeamNG, 3x Automation + DLC).

Gravit_y’s Alfieri-Sjöorm Vetterli-9009 is…amazing. It’s a work of art worthy of Bloody Stupid Johnson. With just a few jbeam tweaks to get the wheels working properly in the back, this deranged cross between old 1991 Alfieri Vetterli V6Q, a 1992 Sjöorm 9009 turbo, a laser cutter and an old welder would be the perfect mod. Toilet and spare tire included. Sanity has to be found elsewhere, however.

Congratulations to all the winners! Please

We’ll be back soon with another contest!
